THE A-Z GUIDE TO REFUNDING  :cooldoge:

Method 1: If the order got dropped off at your front door but HASN’T been signed for.

M: Hello I’m calling because my recent order (insert order number) shows on the tracking screen that it has been delivered but I haven’t received anything? I have been looking out for this order be cause it was supposed to be a gift for my Son’s birthday in two days. Can you check what is going on?

S: Thank you for clarifying that for me and I am sorry for the trouble you have had with your orders. Could you please allow me a few minutes while I look into this for you?

If you have a nice rep, they will offer you either a refund or replacement of your choice.  :pepo:

S: For the following order, (order number), as this order did not arrive and was marked delivered, I can issue you a full refund if you like and you can place a new order when you are ready ?

If you get a shitty rep however, they will launch a carrier investigation. In order to avoid investigations, refer to the bottom of this guide.  :pepi:

Method 2: If the order gets dropped off at your front door but SIGNED with a fake name.

M: Hello I’m calling regarding my recent order (inset order number here). It shows up as signed for at my address but I was at home the entire day and I have not received my order. Can you check what is going on?

S: Thank you for clarifying that for me and I am sorry for the trouble you have had with your orders. Could you please allow me a few minutes while I look into this for you?

[At this point, they will want to check the tracking to confirm regardless of what you say just to confirm that you haven’t received it.]

If you get a good rep, it will go something along the lines of this:  :pepo:

S: For the following order, (order number), as this order did not arrive at your house although it was marked delivered, I can issue you a full refund if you like and you can place a new order when you are ready ?

If you get a shitty rep, they will most ask a lot of questions and inform you that they must investigate this with the carrier.

[A simple way to bypass this quickly will be to tell them that you have already called regarding the same issue earlier and that the other rep was already processing a refund or replacement when you phone cut off.] --> Note this does not work 100% of the time, if it doesn’t work go to the bottom where I tell you how to call off an investigation.  :pepi:

Method 3: Use this when refunding clothes and other lightweight items that have been SIGNED for. If it hasn't been signed, refer back to method 1.

M: Hello (rep’s name), I received my recent order (insert order number if applicable) a couple days ago but when I opened the box I found that it was completely empty and I’m not sure who I should report this to. Could you help me out please?

S: Thank you for clarifying that for me and I am sorry for the trouble you have had with your orders. Could you please allow me a few minutes while I look into this for you?

[At this point, they will want to check the tracking to confirm regardless of what you say just to confirm that you haven’t received it.]

Now if you get a good rep, they will apologise and offer a refund or replacement.  :pepo:

S: For the following order, (order number), as the delivery was empty on delivery, I can issue you a full refund if you like and you can place a new order when you are ready ?

If you get a shitty rep = investigation this investigation that blah blah blah. You get the idea.  :pepi:

INVESTIGATIONS:

In order to become a successful refunder, there is something imperative you must know ---->  The System

You must interpret and understand the store that you refunding from in order to execute it flawlessly.

In Amazon's case, you must understand investigations, the processes behind it and how to bypass the system.

In case you didn't know, there are two types of investigations:

Type 1: Internal Investigations

Type 2: External Investigations

Type 1: Internal Investigations

Internal investigations refer to investigations regarding your account. In Amazon’s case, they most likely have a team of specialists that check details regarding your refund. If they find something suspicious about you, they might check patterns or recurring suspicious activity such as multiple refunds on your account. This will most likely lead to account closure or in some cases, a blacklisted address and payment method (your card).

In order to bypass this, you can:

1) Create a typo for your address.

- By creating a typo to your address or by adding an extra letter, [e.g: 123 Albert Street ? 123 Albertt St], you can essentially bypass the system and be able to theoretically refund unlimited times.

2) Change your payment method.
- You can change your payment method through multiple ways, with the most common of them being requesting a new card from your bank or using a vcc/prepaid card.

Type 2: External Investigations

External investigations refer to investigations with the carriers. If you do not give the rep enough details or explain the issue well enough, they might start a carrier investigation without your knowledge. If they offer to start an investigation, immediately tell them that it will not be necessary and leave the call right away as a refund won’t work most of the time if an investigation gets started. :monkas:  For example: If you don't mention that your package is fully intact, the company you are refunding from may point fingers  :pepegun: at the carrier. If an investigation starts with the carrier, although most times they won't do shit about it but sometimes.. sometimes they pop by your area, say a few hellos and wrap their hands around your shoulders  :timmy: and walk with you around the area, knocking on doors, speaking with the driver that handled your package and checking through signatures. If this does happen, all you do is tell the carrier that everything is fine and that you aren't aware of any issues.  :ohgod:

DOUBLE/TRIPLE DIPPING EXPLAINED + METHODS

Keep in mind that these techniques are fairly advanced aren't recommended to be performed by beginner refunders. Only attempt this if you have several refunds under the belt   and know what you are doing. Failing one of these methods can be very difficult to fix, often causing either you or a customer of your refunding service a headache  :joduscry: . That is why I strongly discourage amateur refunders to attempt this.

Okay okay exceed, we get it. Its a pain is the ass  if we mess it up, can you get onto what double/triple dipping really is?

Double/Triple dipping is essentially when you order an item from a store, claim it doesn't work or is broken, and request an advanced replacement. The reason why you need to get an advanced replacement is because the company would not be able to conduct any sort of investigation before you receive the item. When you receive your replacement, you call in again:

M: Hi there, I'm calling in regards to an advanced replacement that I was given (x) days ago. The tracking on the item shows that the replacement has already been delivered to my place, yet I've been home all day. How the hell can this happen? <===== Remember to be passive aggressive and act frustrated.

At this point, they are most likely going to offer you a refund so that you are able to purchase the item again. If you have successfully received your refund, then guess what? You have officially completed a double dip!  :pogchamp:

Now most of you would be content with successfully completing a double dip. But some of youse wanna be big boys????huh and try out triple dipping, well here goes nothing..

When you reach the end of the double dip method and the rep is offering to refund you, you reply with nuh uh no way hosay missy and come up with a legitimate excuse on why you need a replacement sent out quickly. Now they will most likely transfer you to their supervisor, in which you have to pull out your grade 4 drama class acting skills and convince them of your situation and make them empathise for you. If you managed to get the third replacement product sent, you would need to call as an extremely distressed customer that has had their replacement product gone missing and you want a refund. If they accept your refund, you get an A+, go pat yourself on the back as you have successfully done a triple dip!

NOTE: Take extreme caution when attempting double and triple dips and one wrong move and you might get a police report filed your way.  :jail:
